Menslage Family PortraitJoseph Menslage was born on September 06, 1963 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is the youngest of five children. In 1993 Joseph married his beautiful wife, Nicole Helms. Together they have four children, Gabriel, Hannah, Jeremiah and Naomi Menslage. On May 31, 2008, Nicole died in an automobile accident and went to be with the Lord.

In 1996 Joseph started publishing his first of three successful magazines, Houston Sports News. Shortly after he started Houston Sports News, the Lord gave him the vision for his current magazine, Houston Christian Magazine, which he started publishing in 2005. In 2006 the Lord gave Joseph another vision, a vision to start the Houston Christian Chamber of Commerce.

Joseph looks at both Houston Christian Magazine and Houston Christian Chamber of Commerce as ministries that the Lord has put him in charge of. He asks that you would please pray for him as he tries to do the work that the Lord has put him into with integrity and honor.

Delisle L. Doherty

President

Delisle Doherty was born in Southgate Michigan on 1/7/1960. He is a twin (has a twin sister) and one of 12 children (6 boys & 6 girls). His father died when his mother was 5 months pregnant with him and his twin sister. She re-married when he was 9 years old. At the age of 21 he moved to Houston after attending Michigan State University. In 1984 he married a beautiful woman named Lila, which is the same name as his twin sister. He has two children and runs a printing company. He is a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Katy where he is the chairman of the Board of Outreach and is active with the youth programs from pre-K to high school. He is a strong supporter of the Christ Clinic, a ministry started by Memorial Lutheran Church, to offer medical services to residents without the means to get the proper medical attention.

As a Christian business owner he, along with Joe and Lola, recognized a need for a Christian business network. Knowing there were many small networks there was no venue that allowed for a better visibility for these business. It became our dream to provide that venue. It is by our shared faith in Christ that has allowed us to turn this dream into a reality.

Lola Nikcharan

Vice President

Lola was born in Vientiane, Laos in 1968. She came from a family of 8 children and a very loving and a hard working parents. Her family came over to the US in 1975 as refugees, and were cared for and have been very blessed to have the support of the their sponsors and the sponsor of The Methodist Church. It was then they were introduced to and till today is their Faith. Lola had said that, looking back at her life, It was clear that it was God's doing to have put them in a small town in Humboldt, Iowa, and to have met the kindest and greatest people, it was clearly God's plan.

Through out the years of working, the most blessed job Lola had was working at an ice skating rink, which gave her a way to be very creative in working with young Christians, and many large groups of different venues. In her 4 1/2 yrs of working there she has put together food drives almost every holiday to try to give back to the community, and charity events such as the devastation's of the Tsunami victims, and for the Katrina victims. It was a great success since she had the backing of Memorial City Mall.

Lola met Joe Menslage over 2 1/2 years ago, and he was throwing ideas around about the Houston Christian Chamber of Commerce. She immediately knew it was a brilliant idea, and thank him for inviting her to be a part of such a profound group. Lola believes that there are no accidents in whom we meet in life, whatever happens is what God meant to happen.
